Takahashi Microstar L30-NCL

The high-precision Takahashi lathe model Microstar L30 NCL is designed for the manufacture of a large number of hard disk drive motors and many other high precision components.

The machine is equipped with an electrospindle with a cooling system to avoid errors due to thermal expansion, and a CNC manipulator for loading and unloading the workpiece to ensure a long continuity of production.

The spindle temperature is constantly controlled and maintained within a 5 degree range to minimize dimensional variations during turning operations. The block on which the main spindle is mounted is independent of that of the axis slides so as not to transmit any vibrations from rotation or movement.

The two X and Z axis slides are mounted on a dovetail structure for maximum rigidity and superior accuracy.

The slides and ball screws are automatically lubricated by the automatic lubrication unit supplied as standard. As an option, the X and Z axes can be equipped with optical scales with a resolution of 0.05 micron/metre.

The ball screws are of high quality and are preloaded to minimize temperature variations due to the movement of the balls inside the nut.
